[Sometime after everyone is done gathering around Seraphina, Zack finds her and pulls her to the side. He touches her waist, feeling for any cuts that might have been inflicted.]

[He looks serious, but he doesn't seem to have that murderous look in his eyes this time.]

...I'd like to know that myself. If you don't know, then the answer must lie with either Nanami or Tamamao. I was certain I was dead. But I'm sure I saw Nanami as well-- before that fox knocked me out.

[Seraphina opens her hand and shows him the evidence she's been latching onto this whole time. It's a small shard from... a mirror.]

Because I'm sure it's missing for a very specific reason.

I'd like that as much as you would, but we have to do this the right way. Stop her from whatever weak attempts to implicate us she'll have come up with and let M take her out in the most terrible way possible.

[After all... the executions they bull off are likely worse than anything the two of them could do to her.]

[He's a bit too grumpy about this whole ordeal to be too surprised.]

I guess we're gonna have to be perfectly honest on our Alibis for us to have any chance of killing her. How the fuck am I supposed to word mine without making people think I'm the culprit?

Both my body and Chiaki's have evidence that the wounds you caused weren't the death of us. Besides-- as long as I have this piece of mirror, I can tie her to the crime scene.

If we work together there's no way she'll be able to worm her way out of what she's done. But we have to figure out what she did to get rid of those wounds. That will be the most damning evidence of all.

Neither can I. That's the kind of thing an Angel could do in my world-- certainly not me. Besides. I haven't seen any of my abilities sold off yet so I haven't been able to get them back.

It's possible she only got it back recently. Still... quite a coincidence, having something so handy in your arsenal.
